Volunteers Needed for Canary Coalition Activities
The Canary Coalition always needs volunteers to help in the office and in the field to staff booths, hand out literature at public events and in bringing new people into the organization.
... But sometimes there are special tasks that need dedicated attention.
These tasks call for individuals who are willing to donate a considerable amount of time and commitment. We currently have need of several people willing to make this type of commitment.
- One such task requires two or three individuals who know how to use the database function of Microsoft Word.
We are currently collecting signatures and contact information on a statewide petition promoting wind energy. All this information needs to be entered into a database and we need volunteers to do this. There will be many thousands of entries to make. In this way several volunteers can contribute to the effort of the Canary Coalition in their own homes by working on their home computers.
- We need someone with webpage and internet skills who is willing to put time into promoting the Canary Coalition webpage on the internet.
This involves updating our listing on search engines, creating keywords and phrases, establishing cross-links with other environmental, health and grassroots organizations and networks. This would be a good learning service project for a student.
- We need someone with computer skills to help create an autorun CD containing the Canary Coalition PowerPoint presentation and other information.
